What is a shock collar or remote training collar is any of a family of training collars (also called e-collars, Ecollars, or electronic collars) bark collar that deliver electrical stimulation of varying intensity and duration to the neck of a dog via a radio-controlled electronic device incorporated into a dog training shock collar.
I Just received the collars today but already the quality is way better than ones I've used in the past. Collars are good quality, remote controller actually comes a carabener. The receivers stay on and turn to sleep mode exactly as described. Easy to program the 2 channels/ 2 dogs. Vibration setting is fully adjustable from low to high. The beeper is loud. I haven't used the shock setting yet and hopefully won't have to. I bought the collars because our dogs sometimes run after vehicles from our acreage and I need a stern way to teach them boundaries so they won't get hurt.
So far so good! Only neededsound and vibrations for stubborn dog. She cant figure out where the vibration comes from and comes to me for protection. Don’t even have it turned up less than a third! Love the light feature too. When I take her out at night if she disappears she comes when I turn on her light about half the time, then noise if nor and then 90% of time....then comes vibration and she comes pretty quickly. She has half acre of all kinds of buildings and works great.
I received the collar as promised and all of it arrived without damage. I have used this for two weeks and it absolutely works and has good range. I have a Chesapeake Retreiver that loves to chase cars and jump in the river when it’s time to go inside. He can be a very stubborn dog when he sets his mind to something and I have only had to shock him twice. We live on the river and he swims daily. Unit is definitely waterproof, just make sure the plug is in the charging port. One receiver got water in it because the plug was not in fully. I allowed it to dry for 24 hrs and it still works fine. Customer service is second to none. I lost the remote and emailed the company at 10:30 PM. I had a response within hours and they are sending me a replacement remote because they don’t currently sale replacement remotes. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone!
I ordered this thing a couple of months ago, and so far, it has worked great! Fast forward to literally 10 minutes ago.... I was putting the laundry in the dryer, when I noticed someone did not take the remote out of my pocket before putting my coat in the washer. Naturally, I was angry, because now I'd have to get a new one. To my disbelief... I pushed the sound button, then the vibrate button-- the damn thing still works! So here I am, writing this review.... the remote survived hot water, high spinning cycles and tumbles in the washing machine.. that's pretty dang cool. Definitely recommend this product!
After spends hundreds of dollars for a pet fence only to find I can never buy fully charged batteries to maintain the unit, I decided to purchase this tool. This was a great investment. I have two dogs, one is very stubborn. But I have changed their behaviors almost immediately. After setting a low shock, I only had to use it a few times after giving them a warning beep. Now they respond to the beep - most of the time just my vocal command will make them mind. So long as you start out with a low shock increasing only until you get their attention will make this effective. I first give a vocal command, if no response, I give a warning beep - if they still don't respond, then a shock. I eventually trade out the shock to a vibrate which makes them think they are fixing to get shocked. The ultimate goal is to make them respond to your voice command at all times.
